HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2815_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2815 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING MAP (ZONE CHANGE NO. 442) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, in accordance with Government Code section 65855, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No. 442 (the "Zone Change") to change the City's land use zoning map from the A-1 (Agricultural) District to the PRD/R-E (Planned Residential Development/Residential Estate) District for approximately 30.51 acres of property located easterly of Texas Street and northerly of Pioneer Avenue; and WHEREAS, on March 10, 2015, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that the Zone Change be approved; and WHEREAS on April 2, 2015, notice of this City Council's public hearing for the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on July 7, 2015, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the reconunendation of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and WHEREAS, following the public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare; Section 1. The zoning designation for approximately 30.51 acres of property, located easterly of Texas Street and northerly of Pioneer Avenue, is hereby changed from the A-1 (Agricultural) District to the PRD/R-E (Planned Residential Development/Residential Estate) District on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particularly shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A." Section 2. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a sun -nary of it, to be published once Bcderk\ordinancesWos 2800-2899 in Word\2815 Zone Change 442 7 7 15.doc I in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.
