AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ESTABLISHING
A SALARY SCHEDULE FOR COUNCIL MLEMBERS
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows :
SECTION ONE: That a statute adopted during the 1965
Regular Session of the Legislature of the State of California autho-
rizes members of city councils to adopt salaries for themselves in
accordance with the following schedule based on population:
Population Salary
--- to 5,000 $ 75. 00 per month
5,000 to 35, 000 150. 00 " to
35, 000 to 50 ,000 200. 00 " It
""5-0,000 to 75, 000 250.00 " It
Over 75, 000 300.00 " It
SECTION TWO: That this schedule shall take effect after
the municipal elections in April , 1966.
SECTION THREE: That compensation may be increased to
amounts in excess of the salaries specified in said schedule or
decreased below such scheduled amounts by an affirmative vote of
the majority of the electors of the city voting at a municipal
election.
SECTION FOUR: That this ordinance shall be in force and
take effect as provided by law.
SECTION FIVE: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in
the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper designated for that purpose.
