HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2284_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2284 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION 13.56.010 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SEPTAGE LOADS AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1965 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS: Sectioll 1, The text of Section 13,56.010 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby deleted in its entirety and rewritten to read as follows: "13.56.010 Septage Loads. Septic tank loads originating outside the City's corporate boundaries may be discharged into the City's wastewater treatment plant or sewage collection system subject to regulations promulgated by the City's Municipal Utilities Director, including a limit on the number of loads per day, to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Redlands". Section 2. Chapter 3.42 establishing charges for septage loads is hereby added to the Redlands Municipal Code to read as follows: "Chapter 3.42 Septage Loads Charges 3.42.010 Establishment. All persons discharging septic tank loads into the City's wastewater treatment plant or sewage collection system shall pay fees in the amount of$.02 per gallon." Section 3. Table 3.16.040 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended by the deletion of the following: 61-826 Septic Tank Dumping 85% Annual Section 4. Ordinance No. 1965 is hereby repealed. The City Cleric shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
