AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA FIYJNG AND
E'ST'�BLISHING CHARGES FOR SERVICES AND FACILITI,S FURN15HED
BY THE CITY 3EIW�RAGE SY1"3TEY1 OUTSIDE THE CITY I,IYJTS AND
PROVIDING FOR COLLECTION OF THE Sz5,XE.
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain
as follows ;
Section One : every person whose premises without the
city limits are served by a connection with the Sewerage System
of this City, whereby the sewage or industrial wastes or either
or both, are disposed of by the City, either tbrough the
facilities of the sewage treatment and sewage disposal works
owned by the City of Redlands , or otherwise, shall pay a sewer
rental char-,e of double the rates as set up for those persons
within the City under that certain Ordinance No. 948 entitled
"An Ordinance of the City of Redlands, California, Fixing and
Establishing Charges Furnished by the City Sewerage System and
Providin,- for the Collection of the -same. "
Section Two : That service connections to the City Sewarage
System for premises outside the City Limits shall be M&de at the
discretion of the City Council and the charge for such connections
shall be $250-00 for each connection.
Section Three : That the definitions, collection, rules
and regulations other than the rates , which are herein doubled,
as set forth in said Ordinance No. 748 are in force and effect
as though set forth in detail herein.
Section Four: Any amount due for sewerage rental or
connection under this Ordinance shall be deemed a debt to the
City of Redlands, and any person, firm or corporation failing,
neglecting or refusin.g, to pay said indebtedness shall be liable
to an action in the name of said City in any Court of competent
jurisdiction for the amount thereof.
Section Five : This ordinance shall take effect thirty
(30) days after its passage in the manner and form required by
law.
Section Six: The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be
published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general
circulation withi-,,-i the City of Redlands .
