AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION
18.82.190 OF CHAPTER 18.82 TO THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE TO
ALLOW FOR THE APPROVAL OF SIGNAGE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE
C-3 GENERAL COMMERCIAL SIGN STANDARDS IN THE A-P-C
(ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONAL COMMERCIAL) DISTRICT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 18.82.190 of the Redlands Municipal Code, entitled "Sighs," is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"18.82.190 SIGNS: The provisions ofthe Redlands sign code for the C-3 district may be permitted
subject to planning commission approval. All signs are to be submitted at time of project approval.
Section 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause or plu-ase of this ordinance is for
any reason held to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and
each section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase hereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or
more of the sections, subsections, sentences, clauses or phrases may be declared unconstitutional.
Section 3. The City Council hereby finds that the adoption of this ordinance is exempt
from review under the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") based upon the City
Council's determination that, pursuant to state CEQA guidelines section 15061(b)(3), it can be
seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the adoption of this ordinance may have a
significant effect upon the envirom-nent.
Section 4. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this
ordinance shall take effect as provided by law.
