The City Oouncil of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows:
e °x::75. ,; EF,a :.y_.µ, Oa:vS). For the purgose of this Ordinance
certain terms used herein are defined as follows:
WALL SIGN Is as sn attached to or erected against the wall
of a building or structure, with the exposed face of the sign in
approximately parallel to the plane of said wall.
GRUM SIGN is a detached sigh erected upon or supported
by the Ground*
PRUDE TING ON Is a sign other than a wall sign, suspended
from or supported by a buildV6 or structure and projeoting out
therefrom

SECTION 2 MMIT& It shall be unlawful to painto installo
erect, place or AnZ any sign or billboard as defined In this or-
dinanoe, without first seouring a permit from the kiiailding Depart-
ment and paying the permit fees as as ed herein.
FEES. Any person desiring as permit shall at the t0w
such permits is granted pay as fee as required In this section*
For a total valuation of less than $25000------------51,00
For as total valuation of 125.00 to $50*00------------r1 *5
For a total valuation of $50*00 ormore--------------$2,00
there work for which a permit is required is started or
proceeded wlth prior to obtaining said permit, thB fees shall be

Any person desiring a si8n permit sball file with the
Building Inspector an application thzrefore in writing on as blank
form$ to be furnished for that purpose. Every such application
ii_ave plans or drawings sbDwing the lettering on the sign#
the matbrial Wbe used and thA method of attachment or support to
any building or structure*
Electrical permlt& swell also be required for all elentrical
wiring devices or fixtures whiah form a part of any sign as provided
by MOM, Electric Ordinance*
ShTTION 3 GENERAL This Ordinand
e is
Intended to regalate the construetion, erection, alteration,
repairs and maintenance of all commercial or billboard signs and
their supports in the City of Redlands.
SEGTION 4 LICENSE No person, firm, or corporation
as engage in or earry on the business or occupation of bill
posting, advertising, sign painting or outdoor advertising or main-
taining billboards withDut payAZ the license fee provided for by
the Grdin&nces of the 003 of Redlands.
No person has erect or maintain any sign whiah does not
conform with the provisions of this Ordinanoe and the plans,
specifications and dracrin, for the erection, construction and
maintonanoe of such signs on file in the office of the buildixac,
Department, or for which a pernIt has not been obtained according
to the conditions and in the manner herein set forth.

of Its syrfaee or supports will intorfere in any way with the free
ugie of olly fire escape, exit or stand pipe, or obstruct any required

2 ,CTION 6 MALL 1 ,.ALL SIGNS. No wall sign, with the
advertisin, surface WW6 parallel to the face of the buildina to
which it is attached or any portion thereof, shall project over
