AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1342
REGULATING SIGNS AND ADVERTISING STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: That paragraph 1 a (1) of SECTION XII shall be and
is hereby changed to read as follows:
a. All Residential Districts
(1) For rent, or for sale signs, not to exceed three (3)
square feet in area and .not to exceed two (2) signs
per lot, shall be posted by owner only. The text of
the sign shall be limited to the words "For Sale" or
"For Rent, " the telephone number of the owner of the
property, the words "By Owner, " and the name of the
owner. The signs shall not contain symbols, edge
decoration, insignia or other embellishments . Signs
shall not be lighted.
SECTION TWO: That all other ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
SECTION FOUR: The City Clergy shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the
Redlands Daily Facts, a daily newspaper hereby designated for that
purpose.

Council of the City of Redlands at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 19th day of December, 1967 by the following votes:
AYES: Councilmen Martinez, Hartzell, Mayor Burroughs
