HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2507_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2507 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 15.36 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SIGNS IN THE COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICT The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 15.36.200 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 15.36.200 General Commercial Sign Standards A. Except within the C-3 and C-4 Districts and as otherwise provided in this Chapter, each business is permitted to install one main identification sign. All other signs shall be considered secondary signs and shall conform to the size criteria established in the following table. For buildings that have double street frontage and are located in the C-3 and C4 Districts and other zoning districts referencing C-4 standards, a second main identification sign is permitted provided the building satisfies the following criteria: 1. The building upon which the sign will be located exceeds 100,000 square feet in floor area. 2. The building faces a freeway or major arterial. 3. The two main identification signs do not exceed seventy-five (75)percent of the allowable signage for the building. 4. The secondary and main identification signs shall not exceed the total signage allowed. B. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Cleric shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.
