AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1342 REGU-
LATING SIGNS AND ADVERTISING STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDLANDS AND
AMENDING ARTICLE 845 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE ACCORDINGLY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION ONE: That paragraph 4 , Direction Signs on Off-Site and
On-Site Properties, SECTION 84510 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND PROVISIONS,
be amended to read as follows :
4. TEMPORARY OPEN HOUSE DIRECTION SIGNS ON OFF-SITE LOCATIONS.
For the purpose of this section, an "open house" is defined as a
building which has either been previously occupied and is offered for
sale , rent, or lease, or if new, has been completely constructed and
painted and is offered for sale, rent, or lease. An "open house" may
be also defined as a new building which is complete, landscaped, and
ready for occupancy and is serving as a model for the sale of like or
similar buildings on the same property or within the same subdivision
upon which the model is located. Open house directional signs may be
placed on off-site locations provided such signs are not more than
three (3) square feet in area. The temporary sign, including any frame-
work or supporting member shall be on display only during such time as
the model house or houses are open and available for inspection by any
person. No such sign shall be displayed unless the owner or his repre-
sentative is at the house or building when such signs are on display.
No sign permit shall be required for temporary open house directional
signs as described in this section.
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as
provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Redlands
Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in
the City of Redlands .
