AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADDING CHAPTER 123'4 TO THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING SMOKING AT THE REDLANDS BOWL
AND THE AVICE MEEKER SEWALL THEATER
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. Chapter 12'4 relating to prohibitions on smoking in public places is hereby added
to read as follows:
"Chapter 12,,x4 Public Places - Smoking Prohibited
Section 12./4.010 - Redlands Bowl.
Except for those persons participating in an authorized performance, it is unlawful for any
person to inhale, exhale,burn or carry any lighted cigarette,cigar,pipe or other combustible substance
in any manner or form in the Redlands Bowl in Smiley Park, between Grant and Eureka Streets,
between the times of one hour before any performance, during any performance, and one hour after
any performance.
Section 124.020 - Avice Meeker Sewall Theater
Except for those persons participating in an authorized performance, it is unlawful for any
person to inhale,exhale,bum or carry any lighted cigarette,cigar,pipe or other combustible substance
in any manner or form in any seating area or the stage area of the Avice Meeker Sewall Theater
between the times of one hour before any performance, during any performance, and one hour after
any performance."
Section 3. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts,a newspaper of general circulation within the City,and thereafter this ordinance shall take effect
in accordance with law.
