AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 13.68 OF
THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL FEES
)VHEREAS. the Cite Council of the City of Redlands rthis Cite Council") is empowered
by Health and Safety Code Section 5471 to charge for the provision of solid waste disposal
services: and
WHEREAS, based upon information and data presented to it by City staff. this City
Council has determined that the rate for the City's Household Hazardous Waste disposal fee
should be adjusted to account for changes in the cost of providing such service: and
WHEREAS. this Cite Council finds that the rate established herein for the City's
Household Hazardous Waste disposal fee does not exceed the reasonable cost of providing the
service described herein; and
IN'HEREAS. this ordinance has been adopted by a two-thirds majority vote of the City
Council pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 5471;
NOW. THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain:
Section 1. Table 13.68.425 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended to
read as set forth in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this
reference.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by la«.
Section 3, The City Clerk shall certify' to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it,
or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of Reneral
circulation printed and published in the City of Redlands.
ADOPTED. SIGNED AND APPROVED this 18th day of June 1996.
