AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY Op, REDLANDS, DESIGNATTNGf BROOKSIDE AVENUE E' AS A BOULEVARD AND REQUIRING THAT ALL VEHICLES'SHALL BE STOPPED BEFORE ENTERING Oft CROSSING SAID BOULEVARD. The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows : Section One: That Brookside Avenue i_s hereby declarer to constitute a boulevard within the rgeaninz of the "California Vehic Act" . Section Two: The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to erect a to maintain stop signs , conforming to requirements of the Vehicle Bode of the 3-tate of California, at the entrance to all streets :intersecting Btookside Avenue. Section Three: When stop signs are erect-,ed as in this Ordinance provided, at the entrace to any intersect=ion, ever; driver of a vehicle shall .drop at every such sign, before entering, such intersetion. Section Four: Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not; exceeding " ifty Wa.tt) :dollars or by imprisonment in t1he City rail for not more than five (5� days , or by bath such fine and imprisonment. Section Five : Any and all Ordinances in conflict: With the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section Six.: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in farce from and after its passage and approval as provided by law. Section. Seven: The City Clerk shall certify to the massage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once In the Redlands Daily Facts, the newspaper hereby designated .for that purpose. / 1L1AURICE CLAPP l .
