HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1009_CCv0001.pdf ORDIMIUM 140. 1009 1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REMLAND6, DEjIGNATING A GEWTAIN 6THEET AS A BOULEVARD AND REQUIRING THAT ALL VEHICLES 6HI_�LL BE STOPPED 2 BEFORE ENTERING OR GiO66ING SAID BOULEVARD, AND CREATING A CERTAIN INTER6EQTIUN AS A 16TOPt INTERSECTION. 3 4 The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: 5 Section One:: That the following street is hereby declared to constitute a boulevard within the meaning of the California a Vehicle Act and that all vehicle traffic shall be stopped before entering or crossing said boulevard and street. 7 EAST COLTON AVENUE at its intersection with the 8 drive located 3211 feet east of University Avenue on the University of Redlands campus and all 9 vehicle traffic entering the intersection in a southerly direction on the said drive and con- 10 tinuing south into Colton Avenue shall stop before doing so. 11 EAST COLTON AVENUE at its intersection with the 12 drive located $02 feet east of University Avenue on the University of Redlands campus and all 13 vehicle traffic entering the intersection in a southerly direction on ithe said drive and con- 14 tinuing south into Colton Avenue shall stop before 15 doing so. EAST COLTON AVENUE at its intersection with the 16 drive located $02 feet east of University Avenue on the University of Redlands campus and all 17 vehicle traffic entering the intersection in a northerly direction on the said drive and con- 18 tinuing north into Colton Avenue shall stop before doing so. 19 Section Two : The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to erect 20 and maintain a ""TOP" sign conforming to the requirements of the California Vehicle Act, and when such a sign is erected every 21 I driver of a vehicle shall atop his vehicle accordingly. 22 Section Three : This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
