HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_0978_CCv0001.pdf OORDINANCE No. Aor ?7,P- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS 'CALIFORNIA DESIGNATING A CERTAIN STREET AS A BOULEVARD AND REQUIRING THAT ALL VEHICLES SHALL BE STOPPED BEFORE ENTERING OR CROSSING SAID BOULEVARD. The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follovis : Section One: That the following Street) to—wit:TEXAS STREET' at its intersection with West State Street ( also known as West Citrus Avenue) is hereby declared to constitute a boulevard within the meaning of the California Vehicle Act and that all vehicle traffice entering said Texas Street, at said interesection shall be stopped before entering or crossing the same. Section Two: The Chief of police is hereby authorized to erect and maintain stop signs conforming to the requirements of the California Vehicle Code at the said Texas Street at said interesection. Section Three : When Stop Signs are erected as in this Ordinance provided, every driver of a vehicle shall stop his vehicle at every such sign before entering such intersection. Section Four: Any person violating any of the provisions of tris Ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and u on conviction thereof Fift shall be punished by a fine not exceeding ' imprisonment in the City or County 50-00 Jail for not 3 ) Dollars or by or by both such fine and imprisonment, more than five (5) days Section Five: Any and all ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section Six; This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval as provided by law.
