There is hereby granted to Terracina and. Redlands Street Railway Company, for the term of fifty years, the right to con- struct , maintain and to operate by electricity, horses or mules, or, by wire ropes-running under the streets, andp ed by stationary engines, a street railway with a single track over, through and upon certain streets and avenues of said City of Redlands, to-wit: Beginning at the intersec- tion of the center lines of Colton Avenue and Orange Street; thence S0iitherly along Orange Street to Cajon Street; _,hence south-easterly along Cajon St-eet to Highland Avenue;) thence Westerly along Highland,- Avenue to Cedar Avenue; thence "'Westerly along Cedar Avenue tolthe" Westerly end thereof; also beginning on Clifton Avenue about nine hundred feet east of Sunnyside Avenue, and thence Westerly along Clifton Avenue to Sunnyside Avenue; thence Northerly along Sunnyside Avenue t*he inter- section of Fern Avenue with the West boundary line of said City of Red- lands; also on Olive Avenue from its intersection with Cajon Street to the Western boundary line of the City; together with the right to con- struct, lay down and maintain necessary side-hacks, switches, turn-outs and turn-tables; to make the necessary excavations in said dtreets and avenues for the construction of such street railway; to erect and main- tain pales or posts from which to suspend over-head wires, and to suspend wires from such poles or posts across or along such streets and avenues; to lay therein underground wires and wire-ropes, and to construct, main* tain, and operate such appliances ani apparatus as shall be necessary for
