ORDINANCE NO. 1782
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE
NO. 1562 (CHAPTER 92 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE) TO DELAY EXPIRATION
OF APPROVED TENTATIVE MAPS
WHEREAS , the Subdivision Map Act has been amended to extend the
initial life of approved and conditionally approved tentative maps from
twelve to twenty-four months;
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain as follows :
SECTION ONE: Section 10 of ChaTDter 92 of the Redlands Ordinance
Code is herebv amended to read:
Section 10 . EXPIRATION OF TENTATIVE MAP APPROVAL
(a) Expiration. The approval or conditional approval of a
tentative map shall expire twenty-four (24) months after its
approval or conditional approval . No additional period of time
for such initial term is prescribed by this ordinance.
(b) Extension. The person filing the tentative map may
request its extension by written application to the Planning
Department filed at least five (5) days before the map expires .
The application shall state the reasons for requesting the
extension. The Council shall consider the application as soon
as practicable after filing. The Council shall set forth its
reasons for granting any extension.
(c) Time Limit. Any extension granted by the Council pursu-
ant to subsection Cb) shall not exceed one year at a time, in
the absence of a showing of extraordinary circumstances.
(d). Effect of Man Modification on Extension. Modification
of a tentative map after approval or conditional approval shall
not extend the time limits imposed by this section.
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as
provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts , a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this
city.

at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of February, 1982,
by the following vote:
