HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2089_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2089 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING THE REDLAINDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO TAXICABS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains as follows: SECTION ONE: Section 5 .64 .090 of the Redlands Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "5 .64 .090 Application-Contents The application shall include the following information: A. Owner. The name of the owner , if a single person, his address, social security number, and his age; B. Partners. If a partnership, the respective names, address, social security numbers, and ages of the partners; C. Corporation. If a corporation, the name of the corporation, its place and date of incorporation, Federal tax identification number , and the names and address of its principal officers; D. Firm Name, Address. The name under which the firm is to operate and the prospective address of the firm; E. Employees. The names and social security numbers of those whom the owner intends to employ in the operation of the firm; F. Color Scheme, Insignia . A description of the color scheme and distinctive insignia to be employed; G. Prior Revocations. Whether or not a previous City license has been revoked, and if so, the date and conditions of such revocation; H. Other Information . Any other relevant information that the Council may require; I . Verification. The application shall be signed before and acknowledged by a notary public . " SECTION TWO: Section 5 .64.100 0£ the Redlands Municipal Code shall be amended to read as follows: "5 .64 .100 Issuance. A. The Council shall examine the application in the presence of the petitioner and shall issue a license to him subject to compliance with the provisions of i this chapter if, in their opinion, the operations of 1 the proposed company will serve the public need and convenience. B. A description of the taxicabs to be used in the operation of the firm, including make, model , motor and serial numbers, state license number, and seating capacity, shall be filed with the Clerk and reviewed by the Police Chief or his designee for compliance with Section 5 .64 .090 (F) and conformance with safety standards prior to the operation of the business . " SECTION THREE: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. SECTION FOUR: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this City.
