A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL.
ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF REDLANDS ON THE 5TH DAY OF
IARCH, 1974, DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER
MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED EY UAW
WHEREAS, a regular gerefal nunicpai election was Ileld and con
ducted in the Czty of Redlands, Coanty of San 2ernardino, State of
California, on Tuesday, the 5th day of March, 1974, as required by iaw;
and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was daly and regularly given in
time, form, and manner as provided by law, that -yo-t-ing precincts were
properlyestablished tfnat election officers were appointed and that
in all respects said election was held and conducted and the votes cas.
thereat, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in
time, form and saner as required by the provisions of the Elections
Code of the State of California for the holding of elections in cities
and
WHEREAS, pursuanit to Resolution No. 3098, adopted the 5th day of
February, 1974, the City Clerk of the City of Redlands canvassed the
returns of said election and has certified the results to this City
Council, said results are received, attached and made a part nereof as
Exhibit
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COdNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS.
SECTION 1, That there were 23 voting precincts established for
tne purpose of holding said election, consisting of consolidations of
the regdiar election precincts in the City of Redlands as established
for the holding of state and countelections
SECTION 2, That said regular general muntcipal election was held
for the purpose of slectina tine following officers of said City as
reauired by tne laws relatIna to cities in the State of California, to
wit.
Three members of tne City Council of said City fer fhe
full term of four years.
SECr7IO7 3. That thewhole number ef votes cast in said City
(except asenf voter ballots) was 6,382.
That tthe whole number of. absent ,foter ballots cast In said City
was 207, making a total of 6,589 votes cast in said City.
SECTION 4, Mat the re s of persons voted or at said election

of votes given in the CitI to each of such persons above named for
the respective offices for which said persons were candt.dates were
as listed in Exhibit 'A' attached.
SECTION 5, The City Council does declare and determine that:
CliaIies 4. Derwas elected as Member of the City Council of
ad City for the full term of four years
Elisdortn E, Euler was elected as Member of the City Council
sad cty. for the full term of four years;
Bertna Rose Grace was, elected as Menber of the City Council
said City for the full term of four years.
SECTION 6, The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the
City Councilof said ,7itv a statement of the result of said election
showing:

c2PrTION 7. That the City Clerk shall ,mmedIately trake and, upon
combliance by the persons elected with the p.covisfons of Section 51550
and Section 11559 of the Elections Cede of Inc State of California,
shall deliver to eac, of such persons .se elected a Certificate of
Election signed by hei and duly authenticated s-ne shall also
administer to eacn person elected) the Oath of Cffice prescribed in
the State Co-,Istitution of the State of California and shall have them
sunsoribe thereto and file the same in her office. Whereupon, each
and all of said persona so elected shall be inducted into the respec-
tive office to which trey have been elevted.

SECTION' 8, That the Cit'y Clerk sha11 certify to the passage and
adoption of this resolution4 shall enter the same in the book of original
Resoiutions offjCity and shall make a minute c the passage and
