A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING TRAFFIC REGULATIONS PURSUANT
TO CHAPTER 67 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE
Pursuant to studies made in accordance with Chapter 67 of the
Redlands Ordinance Code and the presentation of information gained in
such studies, the City Council hereby finds and determines that traffic
conditions and the convenience of the public require that certain
regulations are necessary and shall be established
SECTION ONE Pursuant to Section 40802(b) of the California
Vehicle Code and Article 680, Section 68001(a) of the Redlands Traffic
Ordinance, the following school zones have been studied and the speed
limits shall be 25 M.P.H pursuant to Section 22352(b)(2) of the Cali-
fornia vehicle Code:
Dates of Study. July 25-29, 1983
October 10-14, 1983

Clement Jr High School - Pennsylvania Avenue, San Bernardino Ave
Cope Jr High School - Cypress Avenue, Fern Avenue
Crafton Elemementary School - Wabash Avenue
Franklin Elementary School - Colton Avenue, Division Street
Kimberly Elementary School - South Avenue, Elizabeth Street,
Henrietta Street
- Cypress Avenue, Cajon Street
Palm Avenye
Pennsylvania Avenue, Orange Street
Olive Avenue, Center Street,
Clark Street, Michigan Street
Moore Jr High School - Highland Avenue, Fifth Avenue,
Redlands Street, Dearborn Street

ENGINEERING, TRAFFIC AND SPEED SURVEY
at
HIGHWAY UNDER SURVEY: All school zones within the city limits
of Redlands
DATE OF SURVEY: Week of July 25-29, 1983
Week of October 10-14, 1983
FACTS.
The school zones listed below and on the attached worksheets (17 schools in all)
have all been studied and it has been determined that they all meet the require-
ments of the California Vehicle Code section 22352 (b) (2) for a speer7 limit of
25 m.p.h.
A. speed limit of 25 MPH ,while children are going to or leaving these
schools during opening or closing hours or during the noon recess
period, would be appropriate to facilitate the orderly movement of
vehicle and pedestrian traffic in a safe and reasonable manner.
RECOMMENDATION
The following school zones should be posed for-25 m.p.h. while school children
are present as indicated on the attachea worksheets.
