RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF REDLANDS, CALIFORNIA, DETERMINING THAT
THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY DEMAND
THE ACQUISITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS AND MAKING FINDINGS
RELATING THERETO
The City Council of the City of Redlands, California,
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows.
SECTION 1. The public interest and necessity demand
the acquisition and construction by said City of a certain
municipal improvement, to -wit- an addition to the A. K.
Smiley Public Library, including the acquisition of equipment,
furnishings, fixtures and property and the construction of
such improvements to the existing library building as may be
necessary or convenient therefor and all expenses incidental
to or connected with the authorization, issuance and sale of
the bonds.
SECTION 2. The acquisition, construction, development
and completion of said municipal improvements is necessary
and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers
of the City.
SECTION 3. The estimated cost of the aforesaid
municipal improvements is $960,000. The indebtedness for
the aforesaid municipal improvements will require an expen-
diture greater than the amount allowed for it by the annual
tax levy of the City.
