HomeMy WebLinkAbout3218RESOLUTION NO. 3218 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY - ANNEXATION NO. 51 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS: 1 That the Council of the City of Redlands, for the rea- sons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter de- scribed, as uninhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the Government Code of the State of California 2 That the Council's reasons for proposing to initiate said annexation proceedings are as follows The annexation of the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the or- derly growth of the city, provide the proper control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design and insure the proper use of land in conformity with the overall plan of the city 3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is hereby identified as "Annexation No 51" and consists of all that real property situate in the County of San Bernardino, State of California, described on Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B 4 That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, this reso- lution that proceedings have been initiated to annex the herein - above described uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, to request a report by the Commission provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code, and to submit and execute such other applications and reports as may be required by'law in such annexation proceedings ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day of November, 1975 ayor of the City,f Redlands ATTEST LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF ANNEXATION NO 51 That portion of the Northwest 1/4 of Block 19 of Barton Ranch as recorded in Book 6 of Maps, Page 19, in the office of the County Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Colton Avenue with the centerline of Alabama Street; thence S 1° 00' 10" E along said centerline of Albama Street, 301.20 feet to a point on the city of Redlands boundary line, said point also being the True Point of Beginning; thence N 89° 35' 20" E along the city of Redlands boundary line to the southwesterly corner of that real property as recorded on November 3, 1971 in Book 7788 of Deeds, Page 105, in the office of the recorder of said County; thence S 79° 12' 45" E along the city of Redlands boundary line and its prolongation thereof, 279 88 feet; thence S 1° 00' 10" East 306 feet more or less to the South line of the North 1/2 of said Block 19; thence Westerly along last said line to its intersection with said centerline of Alabama Street, last said centerline of Alabama Street also being the city of Redlands boundary line; thence Northerly along last said line to the True Point of Beginning Resolution No. 3218 - Exhibit A REDL.AN DS M EXIST CITY LIMITS LINE COLTON AV E - PARK AVE.. i AREA MAP r�ulAnlp PRC)P4-SEU P.NT-t MX.8.7' CS CITY l..IMI GOLTen. r...! vt 2 / Z Vp • MILD1..•4dc.11-Y LIMIT'S EXHIEIT E5 ANNEXATI oN4 N951 G ITY Or RE.DLAN D O GAJCoN E0I..-AN1::0`s.GA1--. !
