HomeMy WebLinkAbout3164RESOLUTION NO. 3164 RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINH.A.ITED TERRITORY - ANNEXATION NO. 50 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS 1. That the Council of the City of Redlands, for the reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to ,initiate on its own motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the City of Redlands all of the territory hereinafter described, as uninhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300 to 35325 of the Government Code of the State of California. 20 That the City Council°s reasons for initiating said aninexa- tio.n proceedings are as follows This land, contiguous to the City of Redlands and situate in the County of San ,ernardino, State of California, will be used for municipal purposes and will contribute to the orderly growth of the city. 3. That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is hereby identified as "Annexation No. 50°° and consists of all that real property situate in the County of San ernardino, State of California, described on Exhibit A attached hereto and shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit Bo 4. That the City Clerk of the City of Redlands is hereby directed to file with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, this resolution that proceedings have been initiated to annex the hereinabove described uninhabited territory to the City of Redlands, to request a report by the Commis- sion provided for in Section 35002 of the Government Code, and to sub- mit and execute such other applications and rep.rts as may be required by law in such annexation proceeding. ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 4th day of February, 1975.
