HomeMy WebLinkAbout8254RESOLUTION NO 8254 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS ADOPTING SPECIFIC PLAN NO 64 FOR SEVEN PARCELS OF PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF INTERSTATE 210 AND THE NORTH SIDE OF DOMESTIC AVENUE (APNs 0167-031-02-0000, 0167-031-03-0000, 0167-031-04-0000, 0167-031-05-0000, 0167-031-06-0000, 0167-031-07-0000, AND 0167-031-16-0000) WHEREAS, MLC Holdings, LLC ("Applicant"), has filed applications for Amendment No 46 to the East Valley Corridor Specific Plan (Specific Plan 40), Specific Plan No 64, Tentative Tract Map No 20336, and Commission Review & and Approval No 992 for a 317 lot single- family residential development on properties located generally on the east side of Interstate 210 and the north side of Domestic Avenue, and approximately 625 feet west of Texas Street, consisting of county of San Bernardino Assessor Parcel Nos. 0167-031-02-0000, 0167-031-03- 0000, 0167-031-04-0000, 0167-031-05-0000, 0167-031-06-0000, 0167-031-07-0000, and 0167- 031-16-0000 (collectively, the "Project"), and WHEREAS on July 29, 2021, notice of the Planning Commission's public hearing for the Project and related Project was published in the Redlands Daily Facts and notices were mailed to property owners within a 300 foot radius, and WHEREAS, on August 10, 2021, the Planning Commission held a public hearing at which interested persons had an opportunity to testify in support of, or in opposition to, the Project, and at which the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No 1545 recommending that the City Council adopt Specific Plan No 64, and WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on September 21, 2021, at which interested persons had the opportunity to provide verbal and written testimony for the Project; and WHEREAS, following the meeting on Specific Plan No 64, at which the City Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Specific Plan is in the best interests of the public health, safety, and general welfare; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS Section 1. General Plan Conformity. The proposed Specific Plan No 64 is in conformity with the Redlands General Plan, including the land use designation as Low Density Residential for the subject properties and related street and circulation system improvements. Section 2. Specific Plan Adoption.
