HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1096_CCv0001.pdf ORDIti ANCE No, 1636 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, WITH APPENDIX, 1955 EDITION, ORDI- NANCE No. 1067 OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS, ADOPTED ON THS: 2ND DAY OF JULY 1957. The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That the Uniform Building Code with Appendix is here- by amended by adding to or deleting parts of certain Sections in Part 1I1. Requirements Based on Occupancy and Part V, Requirements Based on Types of Construction, for the A-P Zone as defined in Zoning Ordinance No. 1090. SECTION TWO: That Table No. 5-A —Wall and Opening Protection of Oc- cupancies Based on Location on Pro- perty be amended by changing the requirements for openings in exterior walls in Fire Zone No. 2 tender F2. H and I occupancies. f.a� One story buildings: Group F2 Occupancies---Delete, "Protected less than 10 feet." Group H Occupancies—Change to read as follows: "Not per- mitted leas than 5 feet," and delete, "Protected less than 10 feet." Group I Occupancies—Change to read as follows: "Not per- mitted less than 5 feet," and delete, "Protected less than 10 feet." (b) Two or more stories: Group F2 Occupancies— No change. Group H Occupancies—Change to read as follows. "Nat per- mitted less than 5 feet." Group I Occupancies—Change to read as follows, "Not per- mitted less than 5 feet." In Fire Zone No, 2, openings not on street fronts and which are between five feet 15') and ten feet 110'} of an ad- jacent property line shall be protected by Class "E" or "F" fire doors or windows for two or more story struc- tures. SECTION FOUR: Each provision of this ordinance shall be separate and severable and in the event any speci- fic provision is declared void or in- valid no other section, otherwise legal and valid, shall be affected thereb3'. SECTION FIVE: All other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. SECTION SIX: This Ordinance shall be in force and effect as provided by law. SECTION SEVEN: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a daily newspaper dcsig- nated for that purpose.
