The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as
follows:
SUCTION ONE: That certain document on File in the office of
the City Clerk of the City of Redlands which is marked and desig-
nated as *Miform Electrical Cade, " 1947 Edition, published by the
Paoitic Coast El.ectrioal bureaau, be and the same in hereby adopted
as the electrical code of the City of Redlands, and each and all
of the regulations provisions, conditions and terms of said Uni-
form Llectrical Code are hereby referred to and are hereby adopted
and are hereby made a part thereof as though fully set out in this
ordinance. That there are five copies of the above referred to
document now on file in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION TWO: That 3oction 3 of said Uniform. Electrical Code
be hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION THREE: Fees for permits and Inspection. That any
person desiring an electrical permit shall, at the time of filing
an application therefor, pay a fee according to the following
schedule:

provided, however, that where a permit has been granted for

the same person firm or corporation that secured the permit

and/or additional wiring where the total cost of such re-
pair and/or additional installations dOes not exceed the sum
of $5 «00 for labor and materials-
INSPECTION
No inspection charges will be charged for electrical ivork

whose application shall have been rejected by the :electrical
Inspector, or any owner or agent who shall have been ordered
by the Electrical Inspector to incur an expense in the altera-
Uon, repaIr or construction of an electrical installation or
electrical wiring system may, within ton days thcrcr:fter, ap-
peal from such action by serving upon the Electricul Inspec-
tor, notice in writin.6 of such appeal, and ;such notice or cer-
tified copy thereof shall be at .once tr-�nsu,,itted to the 13oard
of Appeal. After notice to such parties as tze Board may
direct, a hearing shall be had and the hoard may by a wajority
vote, affirm, annul or modify said Diction of the lectrical.
Inspector. The decision of the hoard thereupon shall be in
full force and effect.
Yaterials and methods equivalent to those i=e uired by the
provisions of this ordinance may be ad;.,itted to use u_ on the
written approval of the Board of Appeal. A record of the ap-
proved equivalent rviterials shall be kept in the office of the
Electrical lnspeetor. Any requirements deeued necessary to
abate dangerous conditions, in connection with any electrical
or wiring installation not specifically covered by this Code,
shall be determined by the Electrical Inspector, subject: to
review, by the Board of Appeal.

SECTION EIGHT: That Ordinancesidce, 795 and all other
ordinances or parts of ordinances in coni ct herewith ars
hereby repealed.
SECTION NINE: Every person, fire or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deeded guilty
of a misdemeanor and shall be punishable by inprisoxuient in the
city or county jail for a period not to exceed three months, or
by fine not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ( ;,300.00) or by both
such fine and impriconment.

. SECTION VE14: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published .ante
in the Redlands Daily Facto, a daily ne s)aper here si�;�lated
for that purpose.
