HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2017_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2017 AN URGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS TERMINATING DEVELOPMENT RESTRICTIONS IN THE SOUTHEAST AREA AND RESCINDING ORDINANCE NO. 1959 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands (this "City Council") has undertaken the preparation of a general plan amendment for the southeast Redlands area to allow for land uses which take into account circulation, drainage, sewage disposal, fire flow and water supply problems that have been identified in the southeast Redlands area as posing a threat to the public health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of Redlands; and WHEREAS, pursuant to California Government Code Section 65858, this City Council adopted as an urgency measure an interim ordinance establishing development restrictions and prohibiting land uses in the southeast Redlands area which could be in conflict with the proposed general plan amend- ment; and WHEREAS, this City Council has considered and adopted an amendment to the City' s general plan which establishes land uses which address and mitigate the circulation, drainage, sewage disposal, fire flow and water supply problems identified in the southeast Redlands area; and WHEREAS, as a result of the adoption of this general plan amendment, this City Council has found and determined restrictions in the southeast Redlands area no longer exists; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain: SECTION ONE: The development restrictions imposed by Ordinance No. 1959 are hereby terminated and Ordinance No. 1959 is , hereby repealed. SECTION TWO: This ordiance shall take effect immediately upon adoption to preserve the public peace, health and safety of the citizens in the southeast Redlands area. SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and cause it to be published once a week for three successive weeks in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
