HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2138_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2138 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION 10. 60. 080 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO OPERATION OF VEHICLES ON PRIVATE LANDS WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands has determined that the Redlands Municipal Code does not adequately regulate the parking or standing of vehicles on private lands within the City without permission of the property owner; and WHEREAS, it is within the interest of the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Redlands to adequately regulate the parking and standing of vehicles on private lands within the City; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 10. 60. 080 of the Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 1110. 60. 080 Permissive Vehicle Operation. No person shall operate any vehicle or cause or permit any vehicle operated or controlled by him to park or stand on any lands or premises within the City without having written permission from the owner of such lands or his agent, or the person in lawful possession thereof; provided, however, that this section shall not be applicable to persons having visible or lawful business with said owner, agent or person in lawful possession. Upon request of a peace officer, any such written permission shall be displayed to the peace officer. " Section 2 . The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City, and thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.
