AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING
CHAPTER 3.52 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE
RELATING TO WATER RATES
WHEREAS, based upon review of the fiscal projections for the Water
Fuad Group and testimony presented to the City Council of the City of Redlands by
City staff, this City Council has determined that it is desirable to reduce the City's
rates for water usage, and at the same time cover the reasonable costs incurred by
the City for providing such service; and
WHEREAS, the California Health and Safety Code Section 5471 requires
that any change in water rates be made by ordinance adopted by a two-thirds vote
of the City Council;
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Section 3.52.040, the Water Service Rate Schedule, Item A., of the
Redlands Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION TWO: These rates shall be effective for bills issued on and after the
effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Ordinance and
cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once in the San Bernardino Sun Telegram
and the Redlands Daily Facts, newspapers of general circulation printed and published
in this City and the City's service area, and thereafter this ordinance shall be in force
and take effect in accordance with law.
