Home My WebLink AboutOrdinances_2712_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2712 AN ORDINANCE OFTHE CITY 01" REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTERS 3.52 AND 3.53 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO RATES AND CHARGES FOR WATER SERVICE WI-IEREAS, the Utilities Advisory Committee, a con-irnittee established and appointed by the City Council of the City of Redlands ("this C1tV Council"), and City staff, have recommended to this City Council that revisions to the cs are City's water rates and chat- 1 necessary to recover the reasonable costs the City Incurs by providing water service to its CLIstorners and meeting the operating expenses of the City; and WHEREAS, the City has provided written notice by mail of the date, time and place of a public hearing on the proposed rates and charges to the record owner, and tenants, of each parcel of property on which the rate or charge is to be imposed, the specific arnount of the rate or char"e, the reason for the rate or charge, and the basis upon which the rate or charge was calculated; and WHEREAS, at a duly noticed public hearing, held not less than 45 days after the mailin- of notice of the proposed rates and charges, verbal and written testuriony was presented to this City Council relating, to the proposed revisions in the City's rates and charges for water service-, and WHEREAS, at the public hearing on the proposed rates and charges, this City Council considered all protests against such rates and chanes and determined that written protests against the rates and charges were not presented by a majority of owners of the parcels upon which the rates and charges are to be imposed; THE CITY COL TNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
