ORDINANCE NO . 1645
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING THE REDLANDS
ORDINANCE CODE, CHAPTER 24, ENTITLED YARD SALE PERMIT AND
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1635
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Sections 24003, 24005 , 24007, 24008 , and 24010
of Chapter 24 of the Redlands Ordinance Code are hereby amended
to read :
Sec. 24003 . PERMIT FEE. The fee for said permit shall be $2. 50 .
Sec. 24005. -. FREQUENCY AND HOURS . An individual or household shall
be limited to three such sales per twelve month period and each sale
shall be limited to three consecutive days or two consecutive week-
ends of two days each. There shall be no consecutive or concurrent
sales. Such sales may be conducted only between the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 8 :00 p.m.
Sec. 24007 . DISPLAY OF GOODS. Sale goods may not be displayed in
the public right-of-way, and all sale goods shall be arranged so
that fire safety service and other officials may have access for
inspection at all times during the sale. Sale goods may only be
displayed on the days of and between the hours of sale as provided
in this ordinance.
Sec. 24008. SIGNS. No other signs shall be permitted, except two
double-faced signs, not to exceed four square feet in area on any
one side, which shall be permitted only on the property where such
sale is located. Such signs may be posted only on the days of the
sale on such property and shall be prohibited on all other days.
Sec. 24010. PENALTY. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction and upon a first
conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding
twenty-five dollars ($25 .00) , and for a second conviction within
a period of one year, by a fine not exceeding fifty dollars ($50 . 00)
and for a third and any subsequent conviction within a period of
one year, by a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200 . 00) .
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City of Redl ds.
