HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2808_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2808 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING TITLE 18 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING A REVISED LAND USE ZONING MAP (Zone Change No. 444) THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, in accordance with Goveriunent Code section 65855, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has reviewed proposed Zone Change No. 444 (the "Zone Change") to change the City's land use zoning map from the C-3 (General Commercial) District to the O (Open Land) District for an alley totaling approximately 2,800 square feet located easterly and westerly of Orange Street and 5,T' Street, and northerly and southerly of Citrus Avenue and State Street, and after holding a noticed public hearing, made a written recommendation for adoption of the Zone Change to the City Council; and WHEREAS, on October 14, 2014, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on the Zone Change and considered verbal and written testimony of City staff, the applicant for the proposed Zone Change, and testimony from members of the public; and WHEREAS, the Planning Conunission has recommended to the City Council that the Zone Change be approved; and WHEREAS on October 1, 2014, notice of this City Council's public hearing for the Zone Change was published in the Redlands Daily Facts by the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, on October 21, 2014, the City Council held a public hearing and considered the staff written and oral reports, the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the testimony and written evidence submitted by and on behalf of the applicant, and testimony by members of the public; and WHEREAS, following a public hearing on the Zone Change, at which this City Council provided opportunity for public testimony, the City Council determined that adoption of the Zone Change is in the best interests of the public health, safety and general welfare; Section 1. The zoning designation for approximately 2,800 square feet of property, a public alley, located between Orange Street and 5th Street and northerly and southerly of Citrus Avenue and State Street, is hereby changed from C-3 (General Corrnnercial) District to O (Open Land) District on the City's Land Use Zoning Map as more particularly shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A." 1Acc1erk\0rdinances\Nos 2800-2899 in Word\2808 Zone Change 444.doc 1 Section 2.
