AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
BY ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 35 THERETO.
The City Council of the City of Redlands does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: That Zoning Ordinance No. 1000 of the City of
Redlands, be and is hereby amended by adopting Amendment No. 35, which
adds to Section 52.10 by inserting the underlined portion to read as follows:
SE'C'TION 52.00 - CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS
(a) Whenever it is stated in this Ordinance that certain
uses may be permitted subject to securing a Conditional
Use Permit, it shall mean the permitting of these uses
in a district in which they are not specifically listed,
which uses are indicated on the General Plan and/or are
necessary to the development of the community and which
are in no way detrimental to the existing uses or those
permitted in the district. In recommending the granting
of the permit, the Commission may also recommend certain
conditions which it determines will tend to safeguard
the health, safety and property values in the district.
Except as provided in Section 52.10, no conditional use
permit shall be granted for a use specifically permitted
in a less restricted zoning district.
SECTION TWO: That Section 52-10 of Ordinance No. 1000 is hereby
amended by adding the following subsection (a) .
SECTION 52.10 - ADDITIONAL USES PERMITTED
(n) Neighborhood Shopping Centers, in the General area indicated
for such use on the City Comprehensive General Plan, when
such centers are developed as planned, integrated units,
subject to all the conditions as may be necessary to pro-
tect the health, safety, and general welfare. The appropri-
ate and proper development standards shall be determined by
the Planning Commission and the City Council at the public
hearings thereon,
SECTION THREES Before adopting this Ordinance, the City Council
held a public hearing, notice of which was published in the City of Redlands
on the 7th day of __"ril , , 1961, eleven days before the hearing.
SECTION FOURThis Ordinance shall be in force and take effect as
provided by law.
SECTION FIVE- The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this City.
