HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1310_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1310 AN nRDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMEND- ING CHAPTER 66 OF THE REDLANDS ORDINANCE CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 6625 THERETO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN: SECTION ONE. That Chapter 66 of the Ordinance Code of the City of Redlands is hereby amended by the addition of Section 6625 to read as follows : Section 6625 .0 EXCEPTION-, LIVING QUARTERS FOR SECURITY PER- SONNEL IN THE "0" OPEN LAND DISTRICT. Trailer coaches may be used as temporary living quarters for security personnel engaged in the protection of commercial and industrial enterprises in the 11011 open land district , subject to the following provisions : . 1 The owner of the use requiring the temporary office or living quarters shall submit an affidavit setting forth in detail the use to which the trailer coach is to be put , the length of time such temporary use will be required, together with a statement of such future plans as will eliminate the necessity for temporary trailer coach use . PROCEDURE ,, Applications for temporary trailer coach use permits shall be made to the Building and Safety Su- perintendent on forms provided by the city and shall set forth in detail such information as may be required by the said Build- ing Official . .2 A permit issued by the Building and Safety Su- perintendent must be prominently d.u.splayed in a manner so as to be visible from the exterior of the trailer coach at all times and subject to inspection. -3 The trailer coach mu�_-t have a valid California Vehicle license and must show evidence of State Division of Housing approval as prescribed in 11;,Ialthand Safety Code of the State of California . .4 The temporary trailer coach installation must comply with all requirements and regulations of the County Health Department , the Department of Building and Safety and the pro- visions of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California. .5 The trailer coach must be located upon the same premises with the commercial or industrial enterprise. A fee of twenty-five ($25.00) shall be paid to the city upon the filing of the application. The Building and Safety Superintendent shall cause to be made such investigation of facts bearing on the application as will provide necessary Ordinance No. 1310 Page TWO information to assure that such application is consistent with the intent and purpose of this Ordinance . No application shall be regarded as having been. filed uni.±l the fee stated above shall have been paid to the city. It shall be the duty of the Building and Safety Superintendent to approve or disapprove the application. Approval shall be for a period of one ( 1 ) year or less provi- ded, however, that upon the filing of an application for re- newal of the temporary trailer coach use permit and the payment of a renewal fee of ten dollars ($ 10.00) to the city, approval may be granted for an additional one year period or less . In no case will such approval be granted for a period of more than a total of two (2 ) years -unless special circumstances can be shown to require the continued use o.f the trailer coach. In which event , at the request of the permit holder, the City Council shall review the application for extension and may grant additional time in one year increments , provided the per- mit holder can show sufficient cause for the request and pro- vided the Planning Commission determines that the continued use of the trailer coach will not constitute a nuisance or have an adverse effect on the abutting properties and the permitted use thereof. Said trailer coach use permits shall become in- valid upon the expiration of the time for which the approval has been granted. SECTION TWO : This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. SECTION THREE; The City Clerk shall certify to the adopting of this ordinance and cause the same to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in the City.
