ORDINANCE NO. 1796 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS BY ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 161 THERETO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain: SECTION ONE: That Ordinance No . 1000 of the City of Redlands, Section 43 . 00 , LANDSCAPING, FENCES AND WALLS , be amended by adding the following: SECTION 43. 60 : SPECIAL LANDSCAPING PROVISIONS The Planning Commission shall require a landscaped area 25 feet or more in width for projects adjacent to freeway rights-of-way and may require such an area for projects adjacent to major and secondary highways, freeway frontage roads and any street having historical or significant features which warrant special landscaping requirements determined to be essential or desirable in order to enhance and sustain the visual and esthetic qualities of the project site and surrounding areas . Detailed plans shall be prepared in accordance with Section 43 . 37 . Landscaping information to be included on the plan shall consist of common and botanical names of all ground covers , shrubs and trees as well as container sizes and heights with the precise locations of all landscaping materials indicated. SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper of general circixlation- printed and published in this city . ` f ' ATTEST• .
