AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE
BY ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 196 THERETO
R.P.C. NO. 738
SECTION ONE: That the subsections of Section 18 . 164 . 240 shall be
amended as follows:
18.164.240 Number of spaces -- Specific uses designated.
Medical and Dental Five (5) spaces for each doctor or dentist or
Clinics and Offices one (1) space for each two hundred twenty-five
(225) square feet of net rentable floor area;

Churches, Clubs, One (1) space for each three (3) fixed seats
Lodges, Fraternal in all areas used simultaneously for assembly
Organizations, Social purposes or one (1) space for each forty (40)
Halls, Assembly Halls square feet of floor space used for such

Food and Beverage One (1) space for each three (3) seats or one
Services: Restaurants, (1) space for each fifty (50) square feet of
Bars, Cocktail Lounges, serving area, whichever is greater, plus one
Night Clubs and Other (1) space for each two employees on the

Plumbing, Heating One (1) space for each four hundred (400) square
and Electrical Shops feet of floor area or one (1) space for each two
(2) employees, whichever is greater. Also one
(1) space for each vehicle used in connection
with the use.
Professional , Business One (1) space for each two hundred twenty-five
or Administrative (225) square feet of net rentable floor area, or
Offices (Excluding a minimum of three (3) spaces for each office,
Medical and Dental) whichever is greater.
Public Utility One (1) space for each five hundred (500) square
Facilities: Including feet of office space or work area within a
Electrical Substations, structure or one (1) space for each two (2)
Telephone Exchanges, employees on the largest shift, whichever is
Maintenance and greater. Also one (1) space for each vehicle
Storage Facilities used in connection with the use. No requirement
for facilities which are normally unattended by
employees except for occasional maintenance.
Repair Shops, Animal One (1) space for each two hundred fifty (250 )
Hospitals, Business square feet of building floor area , except area
Schools, Dance Studios devoted exclusively to warehousing or storage,
or one (1) space for each two (2) employees,
whichever is greater .

SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as
provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily
Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this
City.
