AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 15.36 OF THE
REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT
NO . 213 RELATING TO REAL ESTATE SIGNS IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That the City of Redlands Municipal Code shall be
amended by adding Section 15.36. 430 follows:
SECTION 15.36. 430 Residential Districts
A. For sale , for rent , lease or exchange signs shall not
exceed two signs per lot. The maximum area of such signs
is three (3) square feet. Any additional signage material
and/or signage language that would enlarge the referenced
sign size of three square feet is expressly prohibited.
The paint used on such signs may be of flat or glossy
finish . Glowing paint , highly reflective paint , or
similarly reflective finish or reflectors are expressly
prohibited. Sign riders, sold signs, balloons and other
attachments, are prohibited.
Signs shall be limited to the lot for sale except for lots
not locate directly on a public street where an off-site
directional sign may be allowed when granted permission to
do so by the owner of the off-site property.
SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this ordinance and cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once
in the Redlands Daily Facts , a newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in this City.

regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of Septenber, 1991, by the
following vote:
