HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_2294_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 2294 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING CHAPTER 18.164 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS THE CITY COUNCII. OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section l. Section 18.164.240 of the Redlands Municipal Code relating to the number of parking spaces required for specific uses is hereby amended to read as follows: "18.164.240 Number of spaces - Specific uses designated. The number of off-street parking spaces or amount of parking area required for each use shall be not less than that set forth in this section. Whenever more than one method of calculating the required number of spaces or area is indicated, the method which provides the greatest number of spaces shall apply. Automobile and machinery sales One space for each five hundred square feet of floor area Theaters, auditoriums, stadiums, For motion picture theaters consisting of six sports arenas, gymnasiums and other (6) or fewer screens, and for all other public places of public assembly. assembly uses, one (1) space for each five (5) fixed seats. For public assembly uses where seats are provided on bleachers or similar structures other than fixed seats, each eighteen inches (18") of linear seating area shall be considered to equal one (1) seat. For motion picture theaters consisting of more than six (6) screens, one (1) space for each six (6) fixed seats. For all public assembly uses, no additional parking shall be required for non- seating area Where no fixed seats are provided, one (l) space shall be provided for each forty (40) square feet of floor area on which spectators will be seated."
