HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances_1785_CCv0001.pdf ORDINANCE NO. 1785 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 52 OF THE REDLANDS ZONING ORDINANCE TO ADD A PERMITTED USE SUBJECT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT (OTA NO. 160) WHEREAS, the Redlands Planning, Commission has recommended by its Resolution No. 561 that Section 52 of the Redlands Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1000) be amended to permit certain non- profit groups to conduct activities subject to conditional use permit in any zone of the City except where expressly prohibited; THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does ordain: SECTION ONE: Subsection p. is added to Section 52. 00A of Ordinance No. 1000 to read: SECTION 52 . 00 : CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS A. USES PERMITTED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT 2 . The following uses may be permitted pursuant to the provisions of this Section in any zone except where expressly prohibited, when such uses are determined by both the Commission and Council to be essential or desirable for the public welfare and convenience and in conformity with the General Plan and its objectives : p. Meeting places of nonprofit civic groups or community organizations other than social or fraternal clubs . SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect as provided by law. SECTION THREE: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in this city.
