A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
DESIGNATING SURVEY AREA NO 1 WITHIN SAID CITY FOR
PROJECT STUDY PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT LAW OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 33310 and 33312 of the
Health and Safety Code of the Community Redevelopment Law of
the State of California require the designation of survey areas
for project study purposes be by resolution of the legislative
body,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands hereby
finds that, within the City of Redlands, there is a certain area,
hereinafter referred to as "Survey Area No 1" which requires
study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects within
said area are feasible in accordance with the Community Redevelop-
ment Law of the State of California
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Redlands as follows
SECTION ONE That the area hereinafter designated and
described as Survey Area No 1, is hereby declared a survey area
for project study purposes pursuant to the California Community
Redevelopment Law, Division 24, Part 1 of the Health and Safety
Code of the State of California
SECTION TWO That said area requires study to determine if
a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible
SECTION THREE
That the boundaries of Survey Area No 1, an
area in the City of Redlands which requires study to determine if
a redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible
is as follows
All that Part of a Portion of Orange Grove
Addition as recorded in Book 2 of Maps, Page
23 and Book 4 of Maps, Page 38 and Park
Addition as recorded in Book 15 of Maps,
Page 61 and a Portion of Subdivision of
Block 28 as recorded in Book 4 of Maps,
Page 2, and a Portion of Redlands Town Plat
as recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 10, and
a Portion of Rancho San Bernardino as recorded
in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2 and a Portion of
Barton Ranch as recorded in Book 6 of Maps,
Page 19 and a Portion of Peller, Pratt and
Kendall Subdivision as recorded in Book 5 of
Maps, page 22 and a Portion of Lords Sub-
division as recorded in Book 14 of Maps, Page 10
and a Portion of Peller Subdivision No 2 as
recorded in Book 8 of Maps, page 45 and a
Portion of Moore and Woodworth Brookside Sub-
division as recorded in Book 23 of Maps, Page 19
in the office of the County Recorder, County of
San Bernardino, State of California described
as follows
Beginning at the intersection of the prolongation
of the East Right of Way line of Cajon Street
with the prolongation of the South Right of Way
line of Vine Street; Thence Westerly along the
said prolongation of the South Right of Way line
of Vine Street to the South Right of Way line of
Vine Street; Thence continuing Westerly along
the said South Right of Way line of Vine Street
and the prolongation thereof to a point of inter-
section with a line 10 feet South-westerly and
parallel with the Westerly Right of Way line of
Eureka Street; Thence Northwesterly along said
parallel line and the prolongation thereof to
the beginning of a tangent curve concave Easterly
and being on the Westerly Right of Way line of
Eureka Street; Thence Westerly and Northerly along

said curve and the prolongation thereof to a
tangent line parallel to the centerline of Eureka
Street; Thence along said tangent line to the South
Right of Way line of an alley running East and West
in Block 1 of Redlands Town Plat as recorded in Book
5 of Maps, Page 10; Thence Westerly along said South
Right of Way line of alley and the prolongation there-
of to a point of intersection with the prolongation
of the West line of Lot 1 in Block C of Peller, Pratt
and Kendall Subdivision as recorded in Book 5 of Maps,
Page 22; Thence Southerly along the prolongation of
the West line of said Lot 1 to the West line of said
Lot 1; Thence Southerly continuing along the said
West line of said Lot 1 to the Southwest corner of
said Lot 1, said Southwest corner of said Lot 1 also
being on the northerly line of Lot 6 of Stones Sub-
division as recorded in Book 5 of Maps, Page 37;
Thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said Lot
6 to a point of intersection with the Northeasterly
line of Block D of Peller Subdivision No 2 as recorded
in Book 8 of Maps, Page 45, said point being the most
Northeasterly corner of said Block D; Thence South-
westerly along the Northwesterly line of said Block D
to the most Northwesterly corner of said Block D,
said Northwesterly corner also being a point on the
prolongation of the Northeasterly line of Lots 14
and 13 of Lords Subdivision as recorded in Book 14.
of Maps, Page 10; Thence Southeasterly along said
Easterly line of Lots 14 and 13 to the Southeast cor-
ner of said Lot 13; Thence Southwesterly along the
Southeasterly line of said Lot 13 and the prolongation
thereof to a point of intersection with the Southwest-
erly Right of Way line of Kendall Street; Thence West-
erly and Northerly along said Westerly Right of Way
line of Kendall Street to a point of intersection with
the Southerly line of Lot 6 of Lords Subdivision as
recorded in Book 14 of Maps, Page 10; Thence Westerly
along said Southerly line of Lot 6 to a point on the
Northeasterly line of Lot 78 of Moore and Woodworth
Brookside Subdivision as recorded in Book 23 of Maps,
Page 19; Thence Northwesterly along said Easterly line
of said Lot 78 and Northwesterly along the Northeast-
erly line of Lots 77 and 76 to the North corner of
Lot 76; Thence Northwesterly from said North corner of
said Lot 76 to the most Southerly corner of Lot 72 of
Moore and Woodworth Brookside Subdivision; Thence
Northwesterly along the Southwesterly line of said Lot
72 to the most Southerly corner of Lot 71 of Moore
and Woodworth Brookside Subdivision; Thence Northwet-
erly along the Southwesterly line of said Lot 71 to
the West corner of said Lot 71; Thence Northeasterly

along the Northwest line of said Lot 71, 27 5 feet
to the point of intersection with a line parallel
with the South Right of Way line of State Street,
Thence Northwesterly along said parallel line and
the Northwesterly prolongation thereof to a point
on the West Right of Way line of Texas Street; Thence
Northerly along the said West Right of Way line of
Texas Street and the prolongation thereof to the
S P R R. Tracks, Thence Easterly along said S P R.R
Tracks to the East Right of Way line of Orange Street,
Thence Southerly along said East Right of Way line
of Orange Street to the East Right of Way line of
Cajon Street; Thence Southerly continuing along the
said East Right of Way line of Cajon Street and the
prolongation thereof to the point of beginning
SECTION FOUR- That the Planning Commission of the City of
Redlands is hereby directed, under the terms and provisions of
Section 33322 of the Community Redevelopment Law, to select one
or more project areas comprising all or part of the designated
survey area, and to formulate a preliminary plan for the re-
development of each project area so selected
