HomeMy WebLinkAbout2859RESOLUTION NO. 2859 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FOR ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT NO. 14 TO THE GENERAL PLAN WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands has pre- pared an amendment to the General Plan and adopted such amendment in Resolution R.P.C. No. 334 after holding a public hearing upon notice in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California; and WHEREAS Resolution No. 334, a copy of which is attached hereto, has been certified to the City Council of the City of Redlands; and WHEREAS on the 23rd day of January , 1971, notice of Public Hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts; and WHEREAS on this 2nd day of February , 1971, the City Council has held a duly advertised public hearing concerned with the proposed amendment to said General Plan; and WHEREAS following said Public Hearing the City Council declares that the proposed amendment is in the interest of the public health, safety and general welfare; and WHEREAS all of the provisions of the Government Code relating to the amendment of a general plan have been complied with, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands; That the amendment to the General Plan adopted by the Planning Commission in Resolution No. 334 shall be adopted as follows: AMENDMENT NO. 14 TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS 1. That there is a need for additional medium density residential lands within the city in order to provide for new trends in housing development types. 2. That the area generally north of the University of Redlands has been identified by the planning department as a logical area for the extension of the medium density residential land use designation. RESOLUTION R.P.C. NO. 334 RESOLUTION FOR THE ADOPTION OF AMENDI1ENT NO. 14 TO TEE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS WHEREAS on this 12th day of January, 1971, the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands finds: 1. That there is a need for additional medium density residential lands within the city in order to provide for new trends in housing development types. 2. On the 1st day of January, 1971 notice of public hearing was published in the Redlands Daily Facts. 4. On the 12th day of January, 1971, the Planning Commission held a duly advertised public hearing concerning the proposed amendment to the General Plan. 5. Following said public hearing the Planning Commission declares that the proposed amendment is in the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare. . All provisions of the California Government Code relating to the amendment of the General Plan have been complied with. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: A. Pursuant to the provisions of Sections 65351 to 65353 both inclusive, the Planning Commission hereby adopts on this 12th day of January, 1971, Amendment No. 14 to the General Plan of the City of Redlands. B. That a map showing the above mentioned change is on file in the city of Redlands and bears the title "Amendment No. 14 to the General Plan of the City of Redlands" and is hereby adopted. C. That the Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council of the City of Redlands, following the reauired public hearing, approve and adopt said Amendment No. 14. D. A certified copy of the report and of this resolution shall be transmitted to the City Council. CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the foregoing is a fUll, true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by the Planning Commission of the City of Redlands, County of San Bernardino, State of California, in a regular meeting on the 12th day of January, 1971, and entered in the minutes of said Commission.
