A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF REDLANDS
ESTABLISHING RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR FISHING IN
ISAAC FORD PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has recently completed
development of a park for the enjoyment of all local
citizens, and
WHEREAS, in this park there have been constructed a
pond for fishing and a pond for rearing fish, and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council that
fishing pleasure be reserved and preserved for the
children of the City, and
WHEREAS, the fish now in the ponds are not yet of a
size practical for catching,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED.
That this City Council, acting in behalf of the children
of the City of Redlands, establishes the following rules
for fishing in Isaac Ford Park.
a. All children fishing shall have a permit issued
by the office of the City Treasurer.
b. This permit shall limit the catch to five fish
per child, per day, limit the hours from noon
to sundown on Saturdays and Sundays; forbid
overhead casting; and shall be used only by the
child to whom issued
c. The age shall be limited to 12 years and under -
with small children being accompanied by an adult.
d. The 1966 season shall begin on the weekend of
September 1.7 and end the weekend of November 27.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this seventh day of
June, 1966.
