AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS AMENDING SECTION
18.68.180 OF THE REDLANDS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO NOISE
PRODUCING EQUIPMENT IN THE MEDICAL FACILITY DISTRICT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The text of Section 18.68.180 of the Redlands Municipal Code
pertaining to noise producing equipment in the Medical Facility District is hereby deleted
in its entirety and rewritten to read as follows:
"18.68.180 Noise Producing Equipment.
In the MF zone, all noise-producing equipment, including, but not limited to
compressors and heating and air conditioning units, shall be insulated or
enclosed so that the noise from such equipment does not exceed zone "A,"
Clearly Compatible Community Noise Equivalent Levels identified in Table
9.1 of the Redlands General Plan for all land use categories. The noise
levels shall be met as measured at the property lines for properties in any
zone including, but not limited to, residential zones, adjacent to the MF zone.
Section 2. The Mayor shall sign this ordinance and the City Clerk shall certify to
the adoption of this ordinance and shall cause it, or a summary of it, to be published once
in the Redlands Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation within the City, and
thereafter, this ordinance shall take effect in accordance with law.

ordinance was duly adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 18th day of March, 1997, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers; Gilbreath, Banda; Mayor Larson
