AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1000 OF THE
CITY OF REDLANDS BY ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 93 THERETO
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section One: That Zoning Ordinance No. 1000 of the City of
Redlands , Section 43. 00 Permitted Fences and Walls, is hereby amended
as follows:
SECTION 43 . 20: REGULATIONS OF LOCATION AND HEIGHT
(a) Permitted Fences and Walls:
1. Fences and walls not to exceed six (6) feet in height
shall be permitted along side and rear property lines
except that no fence or wall exceeding three ( 3) feet
in height shall be located within any required front
yard area.
2. Open fences not to exceed four (4) feet in height
shall be permitted within a required front yard area.
For purposes of this section an open fence shall mean
those types that are composed of wire mesh capable of
admitting at least 90 per cent light.
3. Open fences as defined in paragraph 2 of this section
that are over six (6) feet in height may be located
in the rear half of the lot subject to a commission
finding that such a fence will not constitute a
nuisance to abutting property owners .
4. No fence or wall shall be permitted within the corner
cut-off areas defined in Section 43 .10 .
5. No landscaping which obstructs visibility shall be
permitted within the corner cut- off areas defined in
Section 43. 10.
Section Two: This ordinance shall be in force and take effect
as provided by law.
Section Three: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Redlands
Daily Facts, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published
in the City of Redlands .
