HomeMy WebLinkAbout2265CDOXDS f 6 FAG RESOLUTION NO. 2265 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS FINDING THAT PORTION OF KANSAS STREET IS UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT ORPROSPECTIVE ID IREET STREET PURPOSES AND ORDERING THE VACATION OF PORTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS hereby ordains and resolves as follows: SECTION ONE: The City Council of the City of Redlands having elected to proceed under provisions of Division 5, Part 1, Chapter 2, Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and having held a public hearing as provided herein, hereby finds from all the evidenoe submitted that the street describedinthis resolutionis unnecessary for present or prospec- tive street purposes and that the public interest and convenience requires the cloning of portion of said street. ,cc• Y-� 1 SECTION TWO: The City Council hereby orders the vacation of a certain street described as follows: The easterly of Kansas Street, a street of $0-foot width, as shown on, the Map of Barton Ranch recorded in Book 6 of Maps, page 19 thereof, Records of San Bernardino, lying between the southerly line of Col- ton Avenue, as said avenue is shown on the Map of Barton Ranch, and the northeasterly line of the 100- foot wide Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Com- pany right-of-way. SECTION THREE: In the proceeding herein adopted by this City Council for the vacation. of the street described. in Section 2, the City of Redlands reserves and excepts from the vacation the permanent easement and right at any time, or from time to time, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove and renew sanitary sewers and storm drains and appurtenant struc- tures in., upon, over and. across any street or part, thereof proposed to be vacated and pursuant to any existing franchises or renewals thereof, or otherwise, to construct, maintain, operate, replace, remove, renew and en- u00K 5 876 PAGE 426 large lines of pipe, conduits, cables, wires, poles, and other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas pipe lines, telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the distribution or transportation of electric energy, petroleum, and its products, ammonia, water, and incidental purposes, including access and right to keep property free from inflammable materials, and wood growth, and to otherwise protect the same from all hazards in, upon, and over the street proposed to be vacated. SECTION FOUR: The City Council hereby determines that the vacation of the portion of street described herein is required by public interest, convenience, safety and welfare, ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this Il day of `72L ..�, 1963 ATTEST: APPROVED FOR.
