RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY, HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED AND DESIGNATED AS "ANNEXATION NO. 9" TO
THE CITY OF REDLANDS AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
FILE SUCH PROPOSAL WITH, AND SUBMIT SUCH PROPOSAL TO TILE BOUNDARY COMMISSION
OF TUE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, FOR A REPORT THEREON
AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS:
SECTION 1 That the Council of the City of Redlande, for the reaaons
hereinafter mentioned, desires, intends and proposes to initiate on its
own motion, as soon aa it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to the
City of Redlands 'all of the territory hereinafter described, as uninhabited
territory, under and by virtue and in accordance and in compliance with
the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939.
SECTION 2. That the said Council's reasons for proposing to initiate
said annexaticn proceedings as aforesaid are as follows: That the annexation
of the hereinafter described territory will contribute to the orderly
growth of the city, provide a site for disposal purposee, the proper
control of street layout, drainage, sanitary sewer design, water system
design and the proper land use in conformity with the overall zoning plan
of said city.
SECTION 3. That said territory, which said Council proposed to
annex as aforesaid, is hereby described and identified as "Annexation No. 9",
and said territory includes, consists of, and is further described as all
that real property situated ill the County of San Bernardino, State of
California, described as follows:
That portion of the East half of the Southwest quarter Wi-)
Northeast quarter (NE) of Section Fifteen (15), Township one
(i)
South, Range Three (3) West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, County
of San Bernardino, State of California, according to Government
Survey, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East
thence along said East line, Northerly G95.8 feet; thence parallel
with the South line of said Southwest quarter (SW) of the Northeast
quarter (Ni) c Section Fifteen (15), Westerly Three Hundred Thlrty
(330) feet more er lens to a point on the Neat line of said East half
of the Eat half of the Southwest quarter (SW-) of the Northeast
quarter (NE-) of Section Fifteen (15); thence along said line Southerly
593.3 feet to a point which is One Hundred Fifteen (115) feet Northerly
from the Southwest corner of the East hair of the East half of the
Southwest quarter (SW) of the Northeast quarter (NE-) of Section
Fifteen (15); thence on a direct line, Southeasterly 340.40 feet more
or less to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4 That the City Manager of the City of Redlands is hereby
authorized and directed to apply to the Boundary Commission of the County
of San Bernardino, State of California, for a boundary report on proposed
Annexation Noo_lt by said Commission in accordance with the Government Code
of said State.
