A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
PROVIDING FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF COSTS RESULTING FROM THE
ABATEMENT OF CITRUS GROVES WHICH CONSTITUTE A FIRE HAZARD
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS does hereby resolve
that:
WHEREAS , the City Council in a meeting on July 3, 1979,
authorized the staff to arrange for removal of dead citrus trees
in the event that property owners failed to take appropriate action
to remove the trees after proper notification; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department of the City of Redlands did
notify the owners of record of said properties that said properties
had been legally posted for abatement of dead citrus trees; and
WHEREAS , the owners of record showing on the last available
assessment roll failed to take action to abate the nuisance on
their properties as listed in Exhibit A, attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the staff did order the abatement work done by pri-
vate contractor and submitted a demand for payment, by mail, in
addition to a service charge of $40. 00 per acre and these accounts
remain unpaid; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the reports and
accounts, as listed in Exhibit A, together with any objections or
protests by interested parties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Redlands approves the reports and accounts as submitted in
Exhibit A; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk will advise the
Auditor, San Bernardino County, who will record the assessments,
and the Assessor, San Bernardino County, who will enter the assess-
ments on the tax roll against the properties as itemized in Exhibit
A.

The City Council of the City of Redlands requests the recorda-
tion of removal of dead citrus tree charges as itemized in
Exhibit A of Resolution No. 3705 and their placement on the
tax roll against each property.
We are enclosing a copy of Resolution No . 3705 and a list of
the properties and charges. Copies of this material have
also been sent to the County Assessor as ordered in said
Resolution.
