A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
APPROVING A DELINQUENT ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION FINE REPORT AND
SUBMITTAL OF A NOTICE OF LIEN TO THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY AUDITOR-
CONTROLLER/TREASURER/TAX COLLECTOR FOR PROCESSING
WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has issued administrative citations to the owners of the
property located at 1323 West Colton Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the property owners who received the administrative citations have failed to
pay the delinquent fines for such citations; and
WHEREAS, Section 1.22.130 of the Redlands Municipal Code provides that "...fines
levied by administrative citation, or by administrative hearing order, constitute a special
assessment against each lot or parcel of land upon which the violation existed, and as thus made
and confiimed shall also become the personal obligation of each lot or parcel of land;" and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1.22.130 of the Redlands Municipal Code, a duly
noticed public hearing was held at which the property owners of 1323 West Colton Avenue were
provided the opportunity to object or protest the proposed adoption of this resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redlands, having considered the City
Manager's report regarding delinquent administrative citations, together with any objections and
protests by the property owners of 1323 West Colton Avenue, desires to declare the delinquent
fines as special assessments and cause such fines to be recorded as a lien against the property
identified as 1323 West Colton Avenue;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Redlands as
follows:
Section 1. The City Council approves the delinquent administrative citation fines report
submitted by the City Manager and confirms such delinquent fines to be entered as special
assessments on the property tax roll against the property identified as 1323 West Colton Avenue.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Redlands, and the City's Finance Director, are
hereby authorized and directed to send a certified copy of this resolution and a Notice of Lien for
the delinquent fines (as special assessments), and all other appropriate documentation to place
the fines in the tax roll to the San Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector
for the County of San Bernardino.
