This first amendment ("First Amendment") to the Public Works Construction. Contract for
the 2020 CIP Water Pipeline Replacement Project dated April 20, 2021 (the "Contract"), by and
between the City of Redlands, a municipal corporation and general law city ("City"), and Tryco
General Engineering, a California corporation ("Contractor"), is made and entered into this 7th
day of December, 2021
RECITALS
WHEREAS, it is the desire of City and Contractor to amend their existing Contract,
specifically to amend the Scope of Work and Contract Sum of the Contract, and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Contract with Contractor for work in
accordance with the Contract Documents for City's 2020 CIP Water Pipeline Replacement Project,
Project No 501031,
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises contained herein City and
Contractor agree as follows.
AGREEMENT
Section 1 The scope of work performed by Contractor pursuant to Section 1 of the
Contract, titled "Scope of Work," is hereby amended to include the work that is identified in
Exhibit "1," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. The contract sum, as set forth in Section 2 of the Contract, is hereby
amended to increase Contractor's compensation and shall read as follows
"CONTRACT SUM. City shall pay Contractor the sum of two million three hundredthirty
three thousand five hundred seventy dollars ($2,333,570) as consideration for its
performance of the Work in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the
Contract Documents. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, Contractor has the
option to deposit securities with an escrow agent as a substitute for retention of earnings
requirement to be withheld by City pursuant to an escrow agreement as set forth in the
Public Contract Code Section 22300 "
Section 3. All other provisions of the Contract shall remain unchanged by this First
Amendment, and in effect.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this First Amendment, to be effective
as of the 7th day of December, 2021
