A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS
AUTHORIZING ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ADOPT-A-TRAIL PROGRAM
WHEREAS,unmaintained City trails create a poor image of our City and lowers the quality
of life for our citizens and residents; and
WHEREAS,many communities have turned to volunteers and non-profit organizations for
addressing on-going maintenance of public trail systems by establishing Adopt-A-Trail programs;
and
WHEREAS, an Adopt-A-Trail Program will improve the City's Public trail systems by
addressing maintenance;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands
hereby proclaims the establishment of an Adopt-A-Trail program:
1. The City Council of the City of Redlands authorizes the establishment of an Adopt-A-
Trail Program.
2. The City Council of the City of Redlands authorizes and empowers the Director of
Quality of Life to implement an Adopt-A-Trail Program and expend monies budgeted by
the City Council for program operations.
