HomeMy WebLinkAbout6024_CCv0001.pdf RESOLUTION NO. 6024 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDLANDS REMOVING PROPERTY FROM THE CITY'S AGRICULTURAL PRESERVE WHEREAS, the City of Redlands has established an agricultural preserve pursuant to the California Land Conservation Act of 1965; and WHEREAS, the City Council has established criteria for removal of lands from within the City's Agricultural Preserve; and WHEREAS,an application has been made to remove Assessor's Parcel No. 174-202-03 from agricultural preserve status; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redlands that: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Redlands hereby finds that the applicant and legal owner of the property designated as Assessor's Parcel No. 174-202-03 has filed an application in conformity with the Redlands'General Plan;that the land requested to be removed from the preserve does not circumvent any contract entered into pursuant to the California Land Conservation Act of 1965;and that the removal of the property will not adversely impact the City's goal of discouraging premature and unnecessary conversion of agricultural land to urban uses, and will not encourage discontinuous urban development patterns that unnecessarily increase the costs of community services to Redlands' citizens. Section 2. Assessor's Parcel No. 174-202-03 is hereby removed from the City's Agricultural Preserve and the City Clerk is hereby directed to amend the City's map accordingly, to show the revised boundaries of the City's agricultural preserve.
